Recently I’ve been noticing more and more visitors coming to my site with key words like “Not losing weight on P90X” or “Why am I not losing weight on P90X”. I have personally completed a few rounds of P90X and have lost quite a bit of weight doing so, especially in my first round so I thought I would see if I could help some of you. Most of the people who I have coached that were not losing weight on P90X I have found were not following the nutrition plan correctly. They were either eating way to many carbs or not watching their portions and calorie intake.

Nutrition Might Be The Reason Your Not Losing Weight On P90X

The most important thing I can teach you is that in order to get great results with any workout program is to remember it is 80% nutrition and 20% workout, which means no matter how hard you bust your butt in your workouts if your diet isn’t in order you will not lose those unwanted pounds or inches. In order for you to lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you consume. There are about 3,500 calories in a pound of fat, every time you burn 3,500 more calories than you consume, you will lose a pound. If you’re looking to lose that pound in a week’s time, you have to burn about 500 more calories than you consume every day or 1000 calories if you want to lose 2 lbs a week.

Body Type Could Be A factor Why You Are Not Losing Weight On P90X

Not everybody has the same body composition so people that don’t have much to lose might not notice it on the scale. You won’t be losing weight with P90X because you will be replacing your weight in fat with weight in muscle. What does this mean to you? You will be stronger, leaner, and have more energy. You clothes are going to feel a little bit looser, and fit much better than they have in the past but you may not see the number drop on the scale. This is a good thing! Over time your newfound muscle will continue to eat away and burn the excess fat you have. Don’t get so caught up on what the scale says. I used to weigh myself every day and it just became discouraging. You diminish your hard work you have put in with all of the workouts and your solid diet by worrying about seeing a difference in a couple of numbers on the scale. If you are working out everyday with P90X, watching what you eat, you will succeed. Celebrate your successes and don’t always worry too much what the scale says.
